Description

This a somewhat whimsical artwork created primarily for a contest where I was given a photographic image to work with. The photo was of one man looking out at a meadow or country side. I created a double image by using a digital medium and added textures, overlays and color. In my mind these two figures are guardians of the universe and the central image was created through my adding an overlay of one of my own artworks of a universal abstract creation. I'm a lover of Sci-fi so this is definitely a sci-fi image where I've added a touch of humour as well as symbolic aspects with the hats on these figures. One hat representing a need to take life seriously with respectful educated thought and careful consideration and the other being of the fun kind where one needs to remember how to laugh, love, play and have fun......all in all to create a perfect balance. Both these figures are looking on at our universe and the whole of creation, watching in the process of helping to maintain balance for all through their divine interventions.

By the way was watching back to back early morning Dr Who during the process of this creation so that could have been an influencing factor here :))
