Description
This was orginally a photograph of the lunar eclipse as seen from Sydney Australia with photograph taken from my balcony just after 5am on a Saturday morning on 28 July 2018. This eclipse was the longest lasting eclipse reported for 100 years so it was highly reported via many media sites etc.
It was a bit disappointing to see the moon too often hidden behind the clouds or not visible at all, but I made the most of things and took a few snaps of where one could see the moon even if only partially such as in this image. Mars is clearly seen in the left hand side of the image with the moon peeping through the clouds and showing its orange eclipse coloring.
I've created a semi abstract image out of this photograph because of the quality of what was available was not as interesting to me. The clouds look a little unreal with an interesting texture and I like the effect as it creates the right kind of mysterious ambience given this event I feel.

i like what you created out of what you got and for sharing it with us, dear leanne. this is what - among other things - makes photography so loved and interesting to me as well: always making the best out of what you've got... no matter whether equipment or circumstances!
