Description
This was originally a drawing I did of my eldest daughter when she was a teenager as a 13-14 yr old, She was reading as she posed for this portrait. This artwork was done a very long time ago and this young woman is now in her mid 40s. The semi abstract effect of stars, lights and colour is a similar effect I've used on my first artwork called As Time Goes By with the description there for that being "The digital effect is one of a cosmic nature to symbolise the time/space continuum, given that my daughter is now over 40 yrs of age"....which is the same reason I've added it here. The young woman in the background represents the stage of teenage development that my daughter was at. The other background elements of houses etc was to create interest while also maintaining some kind of a reference to the city of Sydney where we lived at the time.

what a terrific portrait of your beautiful daughter. It's important for young people to enjoy reading, even those in their 40's or older too. L/F
