Description
This is a photograph of a tower crane as seen from my balcony over the horizon above the tree in the park opposite from where I live. I especially love the contrast of the storm clouds behind this crane and the dramatic effect created by the forces of nature. I see this as a metaphor somewhat of the world we are living in at this time. Man progressing in with his material ambitions while nature carries on regardless often challenging those ambitions in one way or another.
I have tweeked the lighting in this image to improve the contrast quality and to enhance the dramatic effect of the clouds, which in actual fact where already pretty dramatic; but the photograph lost some of that in the process as often happens with straight out photography I find.

I was in Sarasota this morning and construction cranes were everywhere. If I could have found a place to pull off, I was tempted to photograph them. Like the cloud formation behind it, too.
