This was created from an original photograph of mine of winter branches and twig of a tree growing locally here in my neighbourhood in Sydney Australia.

After our long hot summers winter and the cooler days are always a sweet relief to me and I always marvel at the change of seasons in how they manifest through the natural world and especially in trees. After having shed their leaves as so many of them do here, they stand in silent anticipation while at the same time resting and for me there is a real mystery and kind or magic in this. They are still alive yet seem lifeless as sentient beings that they are, an expression of nature's moods and for me I so enjoy to see their bare branches with the inspiring lines they draw across the sky. So with this image I've highlighted that drawing through the use of a digital medium, as well as capturing the mystery of those many lines created through branches that remind me of veins, transmitting the precious life force from season to season, while at the time sustaining winged creatures and all others that make their homes therein or thereon.
