This is a photograph of a tree growing just below my 2nd story bedroom window and at this time of the year, end autumn and early winter the colours are glorious as they change before they drop to the ground. The day I took this photo it was a very grey, cold and windy early winter's day here in Sydney, Australia and the colours virtually seemed to pop! I couldn't help but totally fall in love with this tree, autumn and all the magic of its colours as I do every year. Such a joy to have this tree growing in my front garden and to see it in its full glory!

I naturally had to digitally tweek the colours a bit as my camera didn't do it justice regarding the brilliant colours that are visible to the naked eye.

As a creative person all my life I've been drawn to expressing myself through drawing, painting and poetry.
