This was originally a photograph of an autumn leaf that I saw on a bush as I was out walking. I really love the color of autumn leaves and crimson leaves always excite me more so in some way. This leaf was perfectly crimson, fresh and new, so hadn't lain around on the ground. The vibrancy of it was still there even after I carried it in my pocket on the way home. Took a photograph of it and then played around for hours with different creative things I could do with it. This image is one of 3 that I've created from this leaf for Fine Art America, so this one is a non cropped version with a slight digital enhancement to the leaf to add further depth and brilliance to the already crimson leaf, which had lost a bit of it's natural beauty and color through the taking of the photograph.
The simplicity of this image would suit any area where the brilliance of color, contrasts and simplicity is needed.
