Artist's Description
This is an image taken from another artwork of mine recreated and designed specifically for a t-shirt or clothing and the like. This image as it is has a dramatic and yet romantic appearance lending itself to any room in the office or home. The stark contrasting black with the pink would suit a modern day decor, and/or other living or working space.
This artwork was created from a photograph of mine that was digitally manipulated to create a soft romantic effect. As I was finishing the process of this artwork, what came to my mind was one of my favourite Bette Midler songs, 'The Rose' and this is why I've named it thus.
