Description
Thoughts of self care have been foremost on my mind, but also as importantly the need for all of us to care for ourselves in these challenging times we are living in. A global pandemic challenges all our preconceptions on what it means to care for ourselves and other. I am reminded many times of the biblical instructions on loving others as one loves oneself - and am fully aware at my late stage of life that unless we are able to love and care for ourselves, we in turn find it very difficult to then manifest this love similarly towards others. In these times where many of us are finding ourselves isolated and alone the best we can do to survive this callenge is to be kind to ourselves. Being our own best friend helps us to be in place where we can then be there for others as needed. Wishing everyone the best that kindness has to offer and that 'love' may conquer all!

Thanks for your thoughtful comment GJ. This image was inspired by a feeling I had towards my visiting adult daughter and the advice that I gave to her about being kind towards herself......nothing to do with biblical teachings....just relating to my own understanding of how I feel we all need to be especially in this world we live in at this time.
