This image was an original watercolour painting of mine that I've tansformed through the use of a digital medium. I've called it Transformation because of the life cycle of this amazing creature and how the cycle has so much meaning symbolically for the human spirit. I've created the radiant effect to especially highlight how powerful and meaningful the change from a caterpillar to a butterfly can be to many of us human beings especially when symbolically used in myths and stories and purely as an act of divine creation. Also Jungians writers have often written of the change required for true human growth analogous to that of the life cycle of a butterfly.
