This is a group of Australian bush orchids that I've photographed. These plants normally grow wild in the Australian bush, but a friend of mine gave me a plant of this some years ago and I delight every spring when this delightful miniature bush orchid blossoms so freely on my balcony in its pot. This year prior to my taking this photo what inspired me to do so was the first time I detected its wonderful scent wafting in through my open kitchen window. I feel so blessed to be able to enjoy this gift year after year as I watch it grow and especially flower so abundantly.
Because the background to this plant was a fairly yellowing brick wall, I have added a digital textured effect to subdue the background colouring which seemed to be detracting from the flowers.
As a creative person all my life I've been drawn to expressing myself through drawing, painting and poetry. Also as an eclectic in most areas of my life, my artworks also express that and fun in creating is what inspires me at any given time.
