This is a photograph I took of a gorgeous Jacaranda tree that grows in my local park in Sydney Australia. I didn't realize until I prepared this image for uploading onto my Fine Art America site that I'd also captured the moon in it as well, so that was a fun bonus for me in helping me name this image. I particularly love the angle I've captured here of this noble tree as it stretched out it's beautiful branches over the parklands and across the sky in this image. I'm absolutely in love with these trees for all kinds of reasons and cherish the times they blossom here in Sydney Australia as they don't blossom for very long. As I walked out this evening under this tree the blue blossoms are already gently dropping to the ground, littering the pathway and scattering across the parkland grasses.
The colour of these blossoms look different depending on which way the light hits them and although I've often seen them as blue, their colour is more a gentle soft purple or mauve. I can see this bold and yet gentle image on a wall in any room in the house where nature and it's wonderful colours can be celebrated.
