Description
This semi abstract image was done from an original photograph I had taken of fuchsias growing in a local garden. The flowers were growing amongst bushes and shrubbery and were a little lost in their surrounds, so I decided to make them into something a little special and different through using a digital medium to create this image effect. Since this was an old photo of mine my feeling was to highlight the nostalgic effect of these blossoms that are actually amongst my favourites, through adding a cracked stone background. This background was to add texture as well as a feeling of story or history to this image. The cracks are symbolic of time passing for all living and non living things. I liked the texture and colour this background provided as well as the contrast.
This image is a different perspective that can be enjoyed in any space and has a neutral enough tonal effect that can blend harmoniously with any decor.
