Description
This is a very lucky photograph that I took of a tall ship sailing in front of the Sydney Opera House, a famous landmark in Australia. I took this photograph from the Manly Ferry that I love to take trips on over the harbour during the warmer months here. I have done a tall ship trip over the harbour and this tall ship is an original tall ship that has been reconditioned for the tourist industry in Sydney.
I have added a filter to this image to bring out the contrast of land and sky, ship and architecture of the opera house. I love how this has added interest and mood to this image with a slightly nostalgic or vintage vibe especially with the clouds and in how they frame the whole image from above.
I created another artwork from this image with semi abstract effects which I have in my portoflio on FAA called "Sydney Harbour through time and space", but now wanted to share the original image because I felt it had merit considering the history of both subjects in this image. Of course the harbor in Sydney is a magnificent place and tourists love to explore all the amazing sites Sydney Harbour has to offer.
