Description
This image is another version of my original magnolia image called 'Magnificent Magnolia Blossom'. Having looked at the original image again on my computer it seemed to be calling out to me to do something else with it. It seems so perfect as it is, but I 'listened' and then played around with this image, not knowing what I would end up with. So here it is for now. I like the contrasting textures in this as well as that the magnolia still has kept its beauty and charm. In the area that I live there are magnolias blooming everywhere here at this time (in Sydney Australia in August 2015). They grow in amongst the mortar, bricks and concrete surrounded by other garden plants at times. But often the magnolia is the only feature of the front garden and does it proud in the short period that it blossoms. Everything seems to be magnified around this tree when it blossoms - and it's as though there's a silent dance of life and energy floating and drifting back and forth between the flowers, branches, trees and bricks and mortar, creating an ambience for passers by to pause and dream by!
