This is a artwork created from an original drawing of mine of the same name and which has inspired a few other artworks on my portfolio. This drawing was done at a time in my life when I was doing a lot of soul searching as well as exploring Jung and other estoreric philosophies. I did a Jungian style quiz at the time and the result for my own inner feminine nature was that of Artemis. This rang true for me at the time and still does. The nature of this feminine influence is of an androgynous nature thereby having an fairly equally strong masculine and feminine influence.

In mythology the story goes: "In the classical period of Greek mythology, Artemis was often described as the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and the twin sister of Apollo. She was the Hellenic goddess of the hunt, wild animals, wilderness, childbirth, virginity and protector of young girls, bringing and relieving disease in women; she often was depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and arrows.[6] The deer and...
