Queen duvet cover (88" x 88") featuring the image "Fluid Joy" by Leanne Seymour. Our soft microfiber duvet covers are hand sewn and include a hidden zipper for easy washing and assembly. An expression of joy using originally watercolours and then adding digital effects some years later.
This artwork was initially inspired by an experience I had while sitting on Strathfield train station in Sydney Australia many years ago. It was a beautiful day with blue skies and perfect temps. I sat waiting in a relaxed and inwardly quiet manner and as I relaxed I became increasingly aware of the beauty of the day. Then a spontaneous feeling of joy welled up inside me that felt too beautiful to describe in words and I became very conscious of how special this feeling I was experiencing was. Then I thought.....how can I hold onto this feeling or keep it in my memory, since I knew how easy it is to lose a feeling or memory. So I pulled out my train timetable and found a blank page and began to draw what I felt, with the foreknowledge that I would go home and try and paint this in honour of the gift and blessing I felt I was being given through this experience. As a creative person all my life I've been drawn to expressing myself through drawing, painting and poetry. Also as an eclectic in most areas of my life, my artworks also express that and fun in creating is what inspires me at any given time.
