This artwork was created through the use of one of my original photographs of a very unusual agate stone which has always filled me with a sense of mystery and wonder. I bought this fairly large stone from a gift shop in Bundeena which is located to the south of Sydney and part of the Royal National Park land there. This is a favorite place for campers and holiday makers who want to escape the city life for a while.
This image was created from an original image in my FAA portfolio called "Agate Beauty" and will add part of the description I added there to enhance one's understanding of how this image came about. ["The colours and patterns in this stone are completely natural. The pinkish area at the bottom part of the stone reminds me of a womb and so it seems to me as though this is a process of nature's birthing itself through this stone in a most unusual and beautifully creative way. The center area that's seems to be surrounded by a pinkish border is clear like a window o...
