This was originally a photo that I took of a flower of my Peace Lily or Spathiphyllum pot plant. I felt inspired by this photo and wanted to create something from it. I've only had this plant for about a month and have been feeling it's beautiful presence increasingly as it flowered. Peace suits it as that is what I've been feeling from its presence. There are so many names that I could think of for the title of this work but had to chose one that felt right. I had a feeling of the Divine with this and was almost going to call it God Within, but felt to keep the word god out of this and rather just intimate the divine though a biblical reference, as when God made all things. The divine spark is within all living things and when we are able to feel this presence, then we are truly blessed and at one with the Maker of all of life Who has many names.
As a creative person all my life I've been drawn to expressing myself through drawing, painting and poetry. Also as an eclectic in most areas of my life, my artworks also express that and fun in creating is what inspires me at any given time.
