Description
A grand old sandstone house in my local neighbourhood, that I love to look at on my daily walks. This house is all sandstone and is huge, thick and solid. It was built in the 1800s and was originally on some large farm land that has since been sub-divided. It's now on a normal size block and next door to it is a lovely park with some land reserved running up around the back of it with lots of trees. The roof is the old style tin roof. It has an air of mystery, history and charm about it. In its front yard grow massive palm trees which adds to its elegance. I sometimes wonder where all that marvelous sandstone came from and about the stories of past lives that this house stores in it's beautiful solid sandstone walls, as well as its surrounding history in this relatively new country of Australia.
I have added extra color using a digital filter due to photograph not capturing the natural colors as seen as often happens with photographs.
