I'd been marveling at the full moon over the last few nights here in Sydney Australia in August 2020 and have been impressed by its eerie appearance most nights with cloud cover moving over it or covering it most of the time. But finally early hours of this morning after a sleepless night I saw the moon on the horizon from my 2nd floor balcony window. This is so unusual for me to see the moon like this from my south facing balcony window in the morning and it was huge with a golden glow backed by a pinkish dawn sky....so magical and super special for me! So just had to take zillions of photographs of it to make sure I would get at least 1 good shot of it.....given my poor track record of photographing the moon in the past. Anyway I just love this shot, especially as I was able to get some of the moons landscape markings in this image - and I'm guessing the moon had it's golden glow because of the affect of a slowly rising sun. I added a slight digital filter to bring out the dawn...
