Description
The original drawing I did of this was done in pencil - and then before I framed it and gave it away as a gift, I redrew it again in pen while I was sick in bed with flue. This is that pen drawing.
I was listening to some wonderful classical music while drawing this and the lines of the cave were done in a rhythmic motion in time to the music's rhythm. When I look at this pen drawing I'm always reminded of this special musical creative experience.
I was in the Blue Mountains in Sydney visiting the property in bushland of a friend of mine. We'd gone on a walk down the back of the large property and came across this amazing sandstone cave. I sat inside the cave and drew what I saw, wanting to capture the beauty and ambience of this amazing and beautiful place. So the darkening of this image is to create more drama and to try and increase the feeling of depth of being inside the cave and looking out. Hopefully I have succeeded in this.
The Blue Mountains of Sydney NSW Australia are a heritage national park and are a very popular tourist site because of the wonderful bushland, mountains and other special sites.......as well as the Three Sisters of course.

Thanks Hazel......yes I drew this from my original pencil sketch, on a day that I had the flue and was sick in bed. This was drawn whilst I was listening to some really divine classical music and the movement of the lines I'm feeling were connected to the movement of musical notes I was listening to. It was a truly lovely experience for me even though I was sick, so am reminded of that positive experience whenever I look at this. Thanks for your vote Hazel!
