Description
This is a group of dried eucalyptus gum tree leaves that I painted as an experiment and which I ended up really liking the end results of. The Australan Eucalyptus tree is an Australian native and one of my favourite trees. I love the variety of trunks, leaves and shapes and they always inspire my creativity when I see them. As these gum trees lose their leaves these leaves turn all kinds of colours as they whither and die in the process of being returned to the soil, where they proceed to become a form of continuing nutrient for the tree as it continues to grow.
