Description
A peaceful Australian morning river scene out in the country. The original work of this is done in water colour only.
I remember at the time of painting this or just before, I had a feeling of needing to be near water in some way due to a prolonged hot summer - and since I wasn't able to go out to visit a water site because of extreme outdoor heat, instead I found an old post card with this photographed scene on it and painted it. What ever the need for water for me was about, painting this bought to me inner peace and cooling contentment.
Being near or on water often has a calming and balancing effect on me so I found it interesting in hindsight how a painting of water could do the same thing for me in this instance.
Note to myself.....paint more water!
