Description

This was originally a photograph of an autumn leaf that I saw on a bush as I was out walking. I really love the color of autumn leaves and crimson leaves always excite me more so in some way. This leaf was perfectly crimson, fresh and new, so hadn't lain around on the ground. The vibrancy of it was still there even after I carried it in my pocket on the way home.

I took a macro photograph of it and then played around for hours with different creative things after uploading the image onto my laptop to see what I could do with it. Finally I created a transparent background for the photograph and placed it digitally on a deep forest green background. The green and red compliment another creating a sense of balance as it does in nature which tends to sooth and relax us mere mortals. Both deep forest green and crimson are two of my favorite colors and this blend of color could suit anywhere the simplicity of this image with its colors are needed.
